FUJI OIL HOLDINGS

Second “Kurumin Mark” Acquisition

2014.4.9

Following on from 2010, Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. has succeeded in acquiring a “Kurumin Mark” for the second time. Based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, the Kurumin Mark certifies a company as being one that supports childrearing after fulfilling certain criteria such as the creation of an action plan to allow employees to both work and raise children and the achievement of the goals set forth in this plan.

The certification is a reflection of the efforts made by Fuji Oil between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2013 in which various systems were implemented and enhanced and the goals outlined below were achieved.

(1)  Based on the Child Care and Family Care Leave Act, limits have been established for childrearing leave, out of hours work and nighttime work, and awareness raising has been performed for systems including maternity leave before or after childbirth based on the Employment Insurance Act.
· Provision of information about such systems on intranet.
· Awareness raising regarding systems carried out through a handbook called the “Otasuke notebook” which is a product of the internal activities of FAN (Fuji Active Network) that aims to achieve a balance between working and private life and contribute to the company.

(2)  A system for the reemployment of employees who left their job to raise children was implemented in October 2011.

Following on from this, we have created an action plan covering the period from April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2015 and are currently making progress with these activities.

Fuji Oil shall continue to advance its childrearing support and workplace building activities to achieve a balance between working life and family life.
