Effects on the Fuji Oil Group of Typhoon Haiyan which Hit the Central Philippines

We at Fuji Oil Group send our sincere condolences to those afflicted by the deadly Typhoon Haiyan that hit the central islands of the Philippines.

Below, we report the currently-known effects of the Typhoon on the Fuji Oil Group.

1. Damages  
  Typhoon Haiyan has brought grave damages to New Leyte Edible Oil Manufacturing Corporation, the Group’s consolidated subsidiary located in Leyte Island, Philippines.

We have come into contact with some local employees and Japanese expatriates, but continue to seek for confirmation from the remaining staff members. There is no foreseeable plan for recovery of the
production facilities as of now.

2. Impact on business performance
  We are currently investigating the monetary amount of damage and other potential effects on our operating results. We will disclose information promptly as soon as we find out more details and in case a significant effect is anticipated on the business performance.
