Damages of Typhoon Haiyan on Fuji Oil Group - 2

2013.11.26

We send our heartfelt condolences to those afflicted by Typhoon Haiyan.

Below, we report the currently-known damages to the Fuji Oil Group.

1. Safety status of employees (as of November 25, 2013)
We have confirmed the safety of all 90 employees working at our factory on Leyte Island, the region heavily hit by the typhoon. New Leyte Edible Oil’s head office in Manila set up a disaster-response task force immediately after the storm struck to confirm the whereabouts of employees and currently continues to investigate the degree of damages to the company. Staffs were also sent from Fuji Oil to this task force to provide support in information gathering and other aid efforts on-site.

2. Support to the local region
We have started distributing goods to support the lives of New Leyte Edible Oil factory employees and residents of the town of Tanawan in Leyte.
