3 Sales Companies In Japan To Be Consolidated

Fuji Oil Fuji Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Yoshitaka Ebihara) announced that as of April 1, 2012, three sales companies in Japan that are wholly owned subsidiaries of Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. will be consolidated to form a new company, Fuji Sunny Foods Co., Ltd. The three companies are: Fuji Butter Co., Ltd. (President: Kenji Tanabe; Head office: Osaka); KP Shokuhin Co., Ltd. (President: Akihiko Kaneda; Head office: Tokyo); and Waltzfancy Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroyuki Sakata; Head office: Nagoya).
Fuji Butter Co., Ltd., KP Shokuhin Co., Ltd. and Waltzfancy Co., Ltd. are all involved in the sale of confectionery and bakery ingredients in the regions where each company is located. An assessment of the Fuji Oil Group’s future sales strategy for Japan's domestic market led to the decision to consolidate the three companies to boost operating efficiency and further enhance proposal-oriented marketing strengths in order to better respond to customer needs and achieve future growth.
The Fuji Oil Group’s mid-term management plan "Global & Quality 2013 — For Sustainable Growth" emphasizes global management, technological management, and sustainable management to ensure the competitiveness needed to survive in the global marketplace. Global management is being promoted by focusing on the Group's strengths in production, marketing and development; its ability to respond to rapidly changing market conditions; and strong customer relationships, in order to maintain and expand market share under the slogan “Quality for the Japanese Market and Quantity for Overseas Markets.” The consolidation of these three sales companies is part of these efforts.
