President and CEO Yoshitaka Ebihara of Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. Awarded the Commander of the Order of the Crown from the Kingdom of Belgium

Fuji Oil President and CEO Yoshitaka Ebihara was awarded the Commander of the Order of the Crown (Commandeur de l’Ordre de la Couronne) from the Kingdom of Belgium. The awards ceremony was held on June 14 at Hilton Osaka and awarded by H.R.H Crown Prince Philippe of Belgium, who was visiting Japan.
The Commander of the Order of the Crown is awarded by the King of Belgium for distinguished achievements rendered to the Belgian state.
Fuji Oil established a joint venture company in Gent, Belgium in 1992 which was made its wholly owned subsidiary in 2001 (Fuji Oil Europe). The company is now the center of Fuji Oil Group’s business in Europe. Ebihara was stationed in Belgium for about 6 years starting in 1992 as the company’s Vice President, and has since kept close ties with Belgium and Fuji Oil Europe as the subsidiary’s Chairman and also as President and CEO of Fuji Oil Co., Ltd. after returning to Japan. He was recognized for contributing to the Belgian economy through the company’s business activities extending for over 20 years.
