Notice Regarding Effects of the Earthquake in Northeastern Japan

| We at Fuji Oil send our deepest condolences to those afflicted by the great earthquake that hit northeaster region of Japan on March 11th. Our company has set up a countermeasure headquarters which is currently working to ensure operational safety, collect information, and implement recovery measures. We report the impact of the earthquake to our Group infrastructures as below. |

| 1. Damages to production facilities The earthquake has caused damages to parts of buildings/facilities at Chiba Plant (Chiba city, Chiba), Kanto Plant (Kasama, Ibaraki), and Protein Foods Tsukuba Plant (Bando, Ibaraki). The entire Group is currently working together for an early recovery of these facilities. |
