For Shea

Shea nuts are the raw material for oils and fats collected from shea that is mainly grown in Nigeria, Burkina Faso and other West African countries.

It is mostly used as shea butter in the Fuji Oil Group, which is the main ingredient in CBE (Cocoa Butter Equivalent) and widely used in the confectionery industry.

We are working towards the sustainable sourcing of shea, with a focus on conservation of shea tree parklands, reducing the social and environmental footprint of shea butter, and the improvement of value creation in the community.

Through Fuji Oil Ghana, we have also launched Tebma-Kandu - a shea nut sustainability program - with 16 women's cooperatives in northern Ghana. Through this program, we shall contribute to ongoing value creation in Ghana through women's empowerment and conservation of shea tree parkland.
