For Palm Oil

Palm oil is extracted from oil palm trees that grow mainly in Southeast Asia and other tropical regions. As palm oil is easy to process and produces a high yield per unit of land, its use ranges from food to chemicals, and on a worldwide basis, it is one of the most widely produced edible oils.

Using palm oil as a base ingredient, the Fuji Oil Group produces a wide variety of products, such as hard butters for chocolate, frying oils, ice cream oils, and oils for spreads.

While palm oil is extensively used throughout the world, there are concerns about forest clearance, forced labor, and other environmental and human rights issues.

In 2016, we established a Responsible Palm Oil Sourcing Policy, and in 2020 we set mid-to-long term goals for the sustainable sourcing of palm oil.

We continue to work hard to achieve sustainable growth for everyone involved in the palm oil value chain by expanding our sourcing of certified oil, improving the palm oil supply chain, and introducing other measures.
