The Fuji Oil Group uses cacao as the base ingredient for its industrial chocolate, which we source mainly from Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, and Ecuador.

West Africa is the world’s key cacao-producing region, and this region suffers from problems such as poverty among cacao farmers, child labor, and forest destruction.

In 2018, the Fuji Oil Group established a policy for cacao bean sourcing, and in 2020 we set our mid-to-long term goals for the sustainable sourcing of cacao beans.

We continue to work hard to achieve sustainable growth for everyone involved in the cacao industry by expanding our use of certified beans, improving the supply chain, and supporting cacao farmers.
