Participation in the Japanese Food Industry Tour A-Group

Fuji Oil Holdings Inc. took part in the Tour A-Group led by Thailand’s Kasetsart University and the Department of Agricultural Extension in the Thai Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives held over the ten-day period of July 2 – 11 under the sponsorship of the Japanese government. This program is conducted for five countries that are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and provides the participants with an opportunity to learn about Japan’s food industry.
This time, 30 participants consisting of students, professors, and governmental personnel came to Japan for the program from the countries of Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, and Singapore. Mr. Hirokazu Maeda, Fuji Oil Holding’s Chief Technology Officer, described our business and gave them a tour of the Fuji Science and Innovation Center, our new research institute. The participants asked all sorts of questions about matters including our ingredients and products, research and development, quality assurance, and the contribution made by our business to society.
The Fuji Oil Group is assisting human resource development and heightening recognition of its name in Southeast Asia, so that it can continue contributing to society by creating the future of delicious and healthy foods on a global scale.
